Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking Asphalt Laborers for our North Texas construction projects. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.

The laborers will help support the project and crew with various tasks doing everything from pick and shovel work to cleaning up lumber with hammer, shoveling and placing concrete, uses air tools, cleans concrete joints and fills joints with sealing compound from bucket or with hose and nozzle from a central source, applies coating of oil to inside face of forms, may help set and strip forms, unloads and transports reinforcing steel, cures newly poured concrete, helps lower pipe into ditch for pipelayers, builds fences, works with dirt crew keeping construction layout stakes out of the way of dirt-moving equipment. May fine grade excavation and ditches, shovels hot asphalt material. May use power tools and other necessary equipment in demolition work. Performs other related duties.

Responsibilities

• Able to follow instructions
• Provide support to the skilled trades
• Hand digging / trenching
• Pour concrete
• Place asphalt
• Set forms
• Traffic control
• Place erosion control devices
• General site cleanup and maintenance
• Follow safety policies & procedures
• Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience
• Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.
