COMPENSATION: $54,911 - $65,000

We serve the students of Houston, Texas, the 4th largest city across the United States. There are over 20 public-school districts and other great public charter school options, like KIPP Texas-Houston and IDEA Public Schools, within Houston’s city limits serving our increasing population. - Monitoring assessment protocol at the district level in accordance with State of Texas rules and regulations;
- Attending conferences and trainings at the region and state levels to support Director of District Assessment with compliance on all state and federal laws;
- Managing the full scope of assessments by ensuring assessment guidelines, procedures, and submissions are in compliance with all security regulations;
- Creating and leading campus and home office staff to execute testing plans that result in successful and compliant testing administrations at all campuses for designated national, state, and/or local assessments;
- Creating and/or providing all assessment communications and instruction to district and campus personnel;
- Designing training for all campus staff on the appropriate test administration procedures, including paper and online administration and accountability;
- Assisting in creating training sessions and maintaining resource materials;
- Creating multimedia communications such as videos, webinars, and PowerPoints that are viewed within the district or shared with external partners for various purposes;
- Being the main point of contact for TEA to inquire about academic processes and compliance as needed and creating related written communication;
- Supporting Director of District Assessment on various projects related to priorities such as curriculum, professional development, etc.
- Codifying and maintaining PEIMS records including CTE and IGC;
- Collaborating joint projects with other teams such as Mission Support, Finance, Compliance, other Programs team, campuses, etc.;
- Additional duties as assigned.
THE PERSON
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Experience with Microsoft office products (Excel & PowerPoint proficiency required)
- Experience of quickly learning and navigating a variety of online applications and database
- Evidence of strong writing skills
- Evidence of strong work products that are appealing to stakeholders
- A minimum of one coordination experience on the local, state, or national level
- Ability to quickly turn a new responsibility or idea into an action plan
- Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends
- Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress

- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.

- Paid Time Off – Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
