Role Introduction/Description:

  • Unity of Eatonville Federal Credit Union (in Orlando, FL), which is a newly Chartered CU, is seeking an individual to provide excellent service to our members. Previous credit union experience is preferred.
  • This position is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the branch manager in the overall management of the branch- may step in for Branch Manager in their absence. Supports efforts to increase membership, customer satisfaction, sales, and minimize operational losses as well as deepening existing relationships. Contributes to the implementation of promotional campaigns and product initiatives at the branch level.
Essential Functions:
This position is expected to perform the specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities as outlined below:
With support from the Branch Manager, will help achieve deposit, loan and investment goals for respective branch.
  • Supervise Branch Promotions
  • Monitor Business Development efforts
  • Ensure established training goals are achieved
  • Conduct Staff meetings regularly
  • Assists Manager with loans and loan goals
  • May open and close branch as necessary
  • Oversee all sales/service efforts of the branch staff
  • Monitors operational duties of staff
  • Prepares management reports as required
  • Ensure adherence to credit union policy and procedures, including dress code, security, compliance, dual control and audits
  • May serve as support for staff, opening deposit accounts, taking loan applications, handling customer challenges that arise
  • Acts as security contact for branch personnel
  • Conduct quarterly service/ sales meetings
  • Ensure operational soundness of the branch
  • Conduct timely performance evaluations
  • Assisting members, in person or via telephone, in a courteous and professional manner
  • Preparing loan documents for review
  • Processing daily member transactions in computer system
  • Perform account maintenance and updates as needed
  • Various clerical tasks, including receptionist duties
  • Following all laws, rules and regulations that govern the credit union
  • Complete required training and continuing education
  • Follow all established credit union policies and procedures
  • Teller responsibilities
  • Ensure the Credit Union's policies and procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied with
  • Provide assistance to other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactions
  • Continuously update skills by participating in professional training
  • All other tasks, responsibilities or duties, as directed by management

  • Regular attendance is necessary
  • Optimistic, enthusiastic and persuasive
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess basic English language skills in order to write and speak clearly, and effectively with coworkers and members
  • Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to function well under pressure
  • Able to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to function in a professional, business office environment and act and dress appropriately for same, consistent with the Credit Union's grooming and dress codes
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
  • Must be willing to function as a team member
  • Must be willing to demonstrate commitment to Unity's mission and goals


Education:

  • High School Diploma: some secondary education preferred
  • 1- 2 years Supervisory experience
  • Experience in Consumer Lending
  • Experience in Sales/Sales Management
  • Computer literacy
  • Broad knowledge of operating policies and procedures desired
