THE ROLE
Do you feel like you stand right in between creative and analytical? We are looking for an assistant buyer, who will own the day-to-day duties of executing merchant plans and strategies.
In this role, you will maintain data integrity, support the team on seasonal needs, and work closely with a cross-functional team.

HERE'S WHAT A DAY AT WORK MAY LOOK LIKE...
- Drive assortment optimization for buying tasks.
- Work with vendors and buyers to make sure the orders are completed successfully.
- Assists Buyers and other stakeholders in developing assortments and quantifying buys, meeting timing needs with regards to merchandising delivery.
- Reviews inventory buys, positions, or issues with partners in Planning & Allocation.
- Provide strategic support and recommendations to Buyers through the product development life cycle.
- Negotiate with vendors for the collection of RTV and mark-down dollar allowance money.
- Identify business opportunities and risks by analyzing sales performance and the competitive landscape.
- Manage vendor line lists, order confirmations, reconcile variances and submit POs.
- Communicate with retail locations regarding inventory levels, sales, and product needs.
ABOUT YOU...
- College degree or equivalent business experience
- Self-motivated, self-starter, organized, and gritty
- Analytical, strategic, and a problem solver
- Creative and Computer Savvy (Excel Guru)
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
IT WOULD BE GREAT BUT NOT COMPLETELY NECESSARY TO HAVE...
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of retail buying experience; preferably with a large organization in a similar role.
- Experience in the retail industry with an emphasis on athletic footwear.
