Assistant Field Supervisor

Overview: Crawford Construction is a General Construction firm who specializes in Tenant Occupied Maintenance Repairs, Turn Units, Insurance Hazard Claims, Property Renovations, and more. We are seeking an Assistant Field Supervisor to complete site visits for Scope Verifications, Quality Control Inspections, and estimate/repair inspections. The Field Inspector will work directly with the Estimators, and Project Coordinator acting as their eyes and ears onsite. Field inspectors must have reliable transportation and possess the ability to send accurate notes and eyeball estimates for repairs.

Must pass health physical prior to hire date.

JOB DUTIES:

· Meet with tenant occupied rental units to document maintenance issues, providing photos, scope/notes to the office staff.

· Take full sets of photos of Single-family homes and multiple family under 8 units. This includes per room - all 4 walls, ceiling and floors, P-traps, fixtures, and all mechanicals (Furnace, water heater, electrical panel etc.). Use PRUAN DIRECT Application to complete detailed video reports while walking through properties identifying damages.

· Perform QCs (quality control) inspections for field crews and subcontractors.

· Report damages per Peril (damages) including but not limited to fire, flood, theft/vandalism, mold, water, freeze, mortgage neglect, structural, etc.

· Provide measurement & photos clearly reading a tape measure, measuring wheel or laser of missing or damage wall finishes, water supply lines, ductwork, electrical wires, etc. Provide quality, product types & descriptions.

· Complete Roof Assessments: Must walk the roof and provide measurements and photos from the ridge and to slope/pitch. Provide Estimators with the amount of SQ and account for material waste.

· Ability to tarp roofs as needed to preserve the property.

· Ability of identifying debris per cubic yard (CY)

· Must handy and able to complete small repairs at any given moment.

· Complete securing such as lock changes, install lockboxes, board-up, window and door replacement if needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Communicate with estimator to report damages and repairs that require bids.

· Provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects to include coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment.

· Ensure that specifications are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule.

· Responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety.

· Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

· Communicate with project coordinator and estimator regarding estimates and Material Submittals.

· Ensure subcontractor is fulling executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.

· Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

· Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project coordinator for resolution.

· Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite through our cloud-based construction software.

· Attend weekly/monthly progress meetings with upper management, estimators, and project coordinators.

· Ensure job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner when closing projects out.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· You must be computer literate and able to use our cloud-based systems.

· Ability to read & understand insurance scopes and work order instructions.

· Ability to perform basic math functions.

· Physically lift 50 lbs.

· Endurance and ability to walk the entire job site, including stairs and other elevated structures.

· Interpersonal skills including solving conflict, maintaining confidentiality, and keeping emotions under control.

· Oral Communication including speaking clearly, listening, getting clarifications if needed, responding well to questions, demonstrating group presentation skills, and participating in meetings.

· Teamwork including giving and receiving feedback from another team members and contributing to building a positive team spirit.

· Planning/Organizing including ability to prioritizing and planning work activities, using time efficiently, schedules or organizes other people and their tasks, developing realistic action plans.

· Attendance/Punctuality: It is imperative to be present and be on time for city inspections and at locations assigned.

· Must be able to travel to multiple locations in one day.

TOOL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ladder of 12 ft or higher (For Roof Inspections)

· Camera Smart Phone

· Laptop

· Basic tools & power tools set (drill, hammer, tape measure, etc.)

· Volt stick (Electrical Tester

· Infrared thermometer temperature gun (test temps of ducts, refrigerators, stove, etc.)

· Refrigerant diagnostic gauge set for A/C units.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
