Assistant Greenhouse Grower
Job description
- McGregors Greens is located in Mount Dora, Florida. We grow Culinary Herbs for Food Service and Retail sales year round in a 4 acre greenhouse.
We are looking for people who can work as a team with a PASSION for growing great plants.
Job Description:
All normal greenhouse growing activities like:
- Have an general understanding of seeding, transplanting and harvesting
- Insect scouting, ability to spray mix and spray pesticides,
- Soil and fertilizer mixing (must be able to lift 50lb bags),
- Ability to use custom app to keep plants on a weekly harvest schedule,
- Ability to repair minor maintenence issues
- Participate in weekend coverage schedule
- Knowledge of rooting propagation a plus but not required
- Bi Lingual in Spanish a plus but not required
McGregors pays overtime on any hours over 40, however the goal is to work a typical 40 work week.
