Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing

The HSS Education Institute is recruiting a purpose-driven Assistant Digital Marketing Manager who will create and manage social media and paid advertising campaigns that have a direct impact on improving patient care. The Assistant Digital Marketing Manager will report to the Digital Marketing Manager, and will support HSS strategic digital initiatives to expand scale and reach of the HSS Education Institute and the HSS Journal. We’re looking for hard-working self-starters who want to join a tight-knit marketing and communications team and make a difference by helping millions of people live longer fuller lives.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Digital Marketing Manager include but are not limited to the following:
- Promotion of HSS Education Institute and HSS Journal brands to maintain reputation as lead musculoskeletal educator in the world
- Day-to-day management of five social accounts
- Production of integrated multi-channel social media editorial calendar for: Education Institute LinkedIn, Continuing Education Twitter, HSS Journal Twitter, HSS Residency Instagram, YouTube Surgical Video Channel
- Content curation and creation in alignment with monthly thematic planning approach
- Design and creation of social media graphics
- Management and optimization of digital campaigns using Hootsuite and Google Analytics
- Collaboration with internal teams to produce Community Education content for HSS Masterbrand social accounts
- Development of digital marketing engagement strategies and follower growth campaigns, with special focus on new HSS Journal Twitter channel
- Assist with paid social marketing for HSS Journal posts on LinkedIn and sponsored tweets on HSS Journal Twitter
- Miscellaneous projects to support Digital Marketing Manager
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, psychology or related field
- 2-3 years brand social media experience mandatory – personal social media experience not applicable
- Photoshop, Canva, or other desktop design
- Digital marketing reporting, including Hootsuite and Google Analytics
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Purpose-driven marketer with a desire to make a difference
- A strong team player willing to collaborate in-person and virtually
