Richard Bland College of William & Mary, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences invites applicants for a full-time, non tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the 2022 spring academic year.

Responsibilities:

To provide online or traditional (on-campus) delivery instruction on our college campus in Prince George County. Courses offered in the discipline include:
  • Delivering in-seat or online instruction for Richard Bland College both on campus and off campus for the college’s high school dual enrollment program.
  • Maintaining school-determined face-to-face or virtual office hour.
  • Ensuring timely management and response to electronic correspondence from students, administrators, and other school officials.
  • Engaging students in relevant discussion and coursework.
  • Maintaining and submitting accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress.
  • Delivering mid-term and final grades in accordance with the academic calendar.
  • Enforcing student conduct policies as outlined in the College Catalog.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Minimum of a master’s degree in the discipline or master’s degree in related field with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in Psychology.

Preferred Qualifications


  • PHD in Psychology or related field and has prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
  • Ability to use instructional technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
