ACRS seeks a full-time Assistant Program Supervisor in our Children Youth and Family department to provideclinical supervision and consultations with staff and intern students, and monitors assigned staff performance. Provides culturally competent case management, youth development, and counseling services to children, youth, and their family members of the Asian Pacific American community and other ethnic minority communities that are holistic, person-centered, and strengths-based with the goal of helping individuals to live a meaningful and independent life in the community.

***Schedule: Mon Fri, no weekend work!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, supervises, and directs work assignments for bilingual, culturally competent direct-service staff through individual and group supervisions; oversees and performs CYF Mental HealthProgram intake assessments and evaluations; monitors performance of assigned staff and conducts timely performance reviews; approves salary increases per agency budget and policies. Takes formal, corrective action to ensure high quality services, including input to dismiss employee; resolves complaints and grievances lodged by clients.
  • Screens, interviews and hires new employees.Trains and orients new employees on program work assignments as well as agency policies and procedures.
  • Assists staff in developing and implementing service plans with attention to cultural relevance and competency, procedures and regulations. Monitors staff paper work flow, quality of clinical documentation in case files, accuracy of funding sources and opening and termination of cases in timely manner.
  • Works with clients and their family members to provide individual, group and family counseling services in a variety of therapeutic modalities with attention to cultural relevance and competency utilizing supervisor or psychiatric consultation when appropriate; provides coordinated services in compliance with relevant State, County, and City standards. Expected to meet program performance and productivity standards.
  • Prepares concise, complete, and quality clinical and program documentation according to agency policy and system requirements and standards. Completes all of the required documentation and reports in a timely manner by meeting the agency standards.
  • Participates in training, supervision meetings, consultations, and conferences.Attends school, community and service providers meeting.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by management such as back-up for program sueprvisors when they are unavailable or on leave.
