Broad Functions:

Assist the Concept Manager in overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction and product quality.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management. 2. Supervise and coordinate assigned shift; conduct meeting with staff daily. 3. Assist in overall supervision of the department. 4. Check staff punctuality. 5. Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with Areas USA’s policies and procedures. 6. Make employment and termination recommendations consistent with company guidelines for approval or review by the Concept Manager and HR Manager, as applicable. 7. Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. 8. Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development. 9. Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner. 10. Ensure that all equipment is kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the store’s preventative maintenance programs. 11. Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the store’s receiving policies and procedures. 12. Observe, teach, and correct staff’s service. 13. Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met. 14. Examine product displays. 15. Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to safety and labor requirements of the store, employees and guests. 16. Provide advice and suggestions to Store Manager as needed. 17. Assists in supervising the shift's operations in the store to ensure smooth operations, compliance with procedures and safety regulations and that an optimal level of quality service is achieved. 18. Handle any guest complaint during assigned shift. 19. Communicate with guests and receive feedback. 20. Follow up on established training steps. 21. Stay on the store during peak hours. 22. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Associates Degree with at least 2 years of front of the house operations and or assistant management positions. 2. Have knowledge of service and food and beverage. 3. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area. 4. Excellent basic math and computer skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system. 5. Must have the ability to lead a team to reach organizational objectives and goals. 6. Excellent Guest Service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
