Your Role

  • Store Managers are responsible for exemplifying legendary customer service, maximizing store sales and profitability, monitoring expenses, ensuring adequate stock and optimizing merchandise
  • Recruit, interview and hire all store staff
  • Enhance and share their own learning and effectively contributes and oversees the associate growth and development
  • Review all quarterly store evaluations with store management team and staff to identify opportunity areas
  • Coordinate the overall daily supervision of retail staff to ensure that monthly sales performance goals are met and company procedures are followed accurately
  • Drive Associate Engagement and Development through effective communication, feedback and recognition
  • Work with support office and vendors to develop produce merchandising strategies
  • Conduct 90 day associate evaluations and quarterly one-to-one meetings in a timely manner in order to provide constructive feedback for improvement and growth opportunities
  • Monitor payroll percentages on a bi-weekly basis to ensure compliance with established budgets and take corrective measures in advance as necessary
  • Continually keep store staff sufficiently informed about plans, projects, policies and procedures, such that all staff members have an appropriate and positive level of understanding of store operations
  • Enforces safety policies and procedures on a daily basis; is a safety role model

About You

REQUIRED

  • Associate degree in business, business management or retail management or a closely related field and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible and related supervisory experience; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to a diverse group of customers, associates, vendors, etc
  • Ability to motivate and provide exceptional leadership to associates while utilizing and exhibiting Sunshine’s Core Values
  • High degree of analytical skills and the ability to delegate, be self-directed and take initiative.
  • Possess technical skills in basic computer operations, software and peripherals (e.g. Excel, Google Docs, E-Mail, internet, RF gun etc.)
  • Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver License with a clean driving record in accordance with the company’s insurance carrier’s standards
  • May require out of town/overnight travel for industry events (e.g. trade shows) and/or professional development conferences and seminars 2-3 times per year

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Forklift Operator’s certification or the ability to attain strongly desired
  • Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; at times, product weight may reach 50 lbs - requires the ability to move heavy product with assistance
