Job Description:
*NOT LIMITED TO*
The teaching assistant position is to help oversee the safety and education of children and adding a level of support to the lead teacher.
The Assistant is responsible for demonstrating exceptional professionalism, educational development and lesson planning alongside the classroom Lead and the school's Director, ensuring the safety and welfare of the children, assisting the lead teacher with maintaining up to date and accurate records for every student on a daily basis via our parent portal.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. A minimum of a High School Diploma *or equivalent*, CDA or Associates Degree preferred!
2. At least two years of experience in early childhood education
Skills and Abilities:
· Enthusiastic leader with positive attitude
· Knowledge of Child growth and developmental milestones and a knowledge of Creative Curriculum
· Effective organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
· Exceptional Oral and written Communication skills
· Genuine commitment to education and learning
· Excellent judgment, problem solving, and decision making abilities
· Able to use an iPad or device for proper communication with parents
· Able to take constructive criticism in a positive manner
· Have a friendly and positive attitude towards co-workers and team members
Responsibilities:
*NOT LIMITED TO*
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children by providing a clean and maintained classroom atmosphere
· Compliance with our company procedures and policies
· Ensure classroom is maintained and in order
· Care and education of children
· Assist with Lesson plans/Daily Record Keeping via Tadpoles
· Assist with the Implementation of school curriculum
· Provides a learning environment that stimulates child growth and development
·
· Ensure that all professional development and training hours are completed yearly as required by the NJ state licensing office
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
