Our Manufacturing and Design team is adding a new Assistant Technical Apparel Designer to assist in the development of Tyndale branded garments. They'll support our Pattern & Marking Manager in developing tech packs, they'll create flat sketches and ensure measurement specification accuracy. This Assistant Technical Designer will create and apply grading to spec sheets, assist with sourcing fabric and trim, and will work with our PDS & Marker systems daily.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This Assistant Designer will work 2*_ days a week onsite, and 3 days a week remotely*_. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Tyndale headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) for onsite work.

Responsibilities

• To produce a marker from a cutting ticket to send to facilities.
• Use a Gerber PDS & Marking System.
• Support the design team with initial tech packs. Including flat sketch with measurements, construction details, and measurement specifications.
• Spec and analyze garments to determine compliance of spec, construction and shrinkage.
• Create and apply grading to spec sheets from Production Patterns.
• Create Spec Sheets from Sample garments for review.
• Coordinate the requirements of trim items and labels for our factories.
• Other duties as needed by the Pattern & Marking Manager or the VP of Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of a PDS & Marker System (Gerber System preferred)
• College degree in Apparel related studies preferred or High School or equivalent + 3 years of working with Pattern Design software
• Menswear experience preferred
• Pattern or Marker Making Certification a plus
• Highly motivated and results driven
• Proactive, with a sense of urgency
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
• Proficient in Excel, word and other Microsoft programs.
• Knowledge of Illustrator required
