This position manages print production and production of other marketing materials for the Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy including bidding and awarding projects, coordinating scheduling, overseeing job approvals, and ensuring on-time delivery. Manages the Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy including oversight of student hiring, Provides scheduling/calendar support for Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy. This position is also responsible for manages marketing projects and drafting communications to support the AVP.

Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees print and production of other marketing materials for the Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy (approximately 1600 jobs per year). Provides support for online tracking system. Establishes schedule for projects, negotiates timelines, prioritizes projects with vendors and ensures that quality as well as deadlines are met. Is the print buyer for University print requirements that are directed by Marketing and Brand Strategy. Reviews products to determine the quality and cost effectiveness. Negotiates printing costs with representatives to ensure lowest cost. Responsible for following all purchasing and bid requirements with outside vendors.
  • Manages Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy: supervises student staff, oversees workflow, and ensures office coverage. Handles complaints and problems from both internal and external customers. The employee is charged with developing and updating a manual on procedures for ordering print materials to be followed by all members of the Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy.
  • Provides fiscal/budget related actions including monitoring of budget loads (both operational and personnel); salary calculations; carry forward analysis and verifications, initiating budget transfer requests for the department; responsible for assessing and managing incoming budget proposals/requests for accuracy. Compiles, synthesizes and analyzes budget information for the AVP. Makes recommendations on cost saving strategies. Responsible for office purchasing, bill paying, maintaining departmental purchase card. Responsible for monitoring of all RFP contract agreements for the AVP. Responsible for maintaining all Independent Contract Agreements for the department.
  • Compiles and communicates information on behalf of the AVP. Creates and reviews presentations for Board of Trustee and other executive level meetings. Compiles, synthesizes and analyzes information on behalf of the AVP; conducts research on various issues as assigned by the AVP. Maintains and updates paper and computerized department files and records for reports, future projects. Maintains files for all contracts and addendums of administrative staff in the division.

The following experience is required:

  • 1-2 years’ professional experience in purchasing, marketing, communications, or related field

Salary

Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 353. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
