Jabbergym LLC. is in need of an Assistive Technology Specialist with a Master’s Degree as either a Speech Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist and a current, valid Assistive Technology Credential. This position is located in the Corona/Norco, California area.

Key Duties:

  • Maintains cutting edge knowledge of emerging and innovative technologies for supporting universal learning.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology supports and strategies to address access, communication, mobility, positioning, recreation/leisure/play, environmental control and activities of daily living.

Key Duties:

  • Knowledge of assistive technology supports and strategies to address access, communication, mobility, positioning, recreation/leisure/play, environmental control and activities of daily living.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supports regional, district, and site-based capacity building in the meaningful and productive use of accessible technology and consideration of student's individual needs through training and skill-building opportunities as well as coaching and mentoring

· Contributes to the development of resources for supporting training, skill building, coaching, and mentoring activities

· Maintains project data and outcome measures to assist with program review and improvement

· When needed determines AT needs as part of a comprehensive assessment, which addresses all areas related to the student's disability and based on the student's strengths, tasks, and expectations; prepares written reports as required

· Effectively manages schedule and time to proactively support mentoring and coaching plans, upcoming trainings, incoming requests for assistance, and ongoing material development

· Develops and maintains positive working relationships with project staff and advisors, regional training teams, district, and site-based leaders

· Complies with the rules and regulations set forth in federal and state special education laws and regulations

· Provide services within the Agency’s catchment area

· Maintain an attendance register in accordance with the Service Page of the IEP and the Individual Service Agreement (ISA) for each student

· Input services into the company’s database and sign the service logs on a monthly basis

· Adapt educational materials and equipment for the purpose of providing intervention and/or meeting the individual student’s needs

· Collect data on student achievements for the purpose of documenting activities, preparing reports and/or updating IEP logs

· Maintain and prepare a wide variety of manual and electronic materials (e.g. charts, logs, records and/or reports) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, conveying information; and/or complying with mandated requirements
