Position Summary:
As an Associate Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, coordinating activities assigned, and assisting team members in Procurement activities. This position will work with the entire organization in finding solutions to sourcing challenges, driving the strategic vision.
Responsibilities:
- Become the Subject Matter Expert and procure material for assigned categories
- Process requests for Industrial Rental Equipment and Services
- Complete the entire purchasing process for assigned categories
- Create and issue Purchase Orders
- Ensure material is received timely and accurately
- Expedite orders as needed to ensure timely delivery
- Manage items and vendor data in the system to ensure it is accurate and current
- Assist in the development and implementation of Process Improvement initiatives
- Assists in the development, execution, and management of large scale RFQs
- Completes other related projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or technical related field or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and the desire to learn and grow
- Ability to organize and prioritize, gather and analyze data, establish and maintain working relationships, prepare a variety of written documents, apply methods of product research and evaluation
- Experience in MS Office is a Plus
- Experience using an ERP System is a Plus; SAP, Oracle, Epicor
