Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking an Associate Production Control Planner to work at our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Production Control/Shipping.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and plan work orders to support internal and external demand.
  • Track work order shortages and communicate with purchasing and manufacturing any shortfalls.
  • Coordinate production flow with stockroom, procurement and manufacturing group when scheduling work orders.
  • Process pick batches for shipment of product.
  • Work with Quality Department on the disposition and scrapping of defective material.
  • Track work order variance and close work orders.
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Complete tasks and training as assigned by management.
  • Follow TDSI manufacturing production flow.
  • Understand TDSI systems and processes and grow in competency with PeopleSoft.

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • 0 - 5 years of experience. Experience in production environment preferred.
  • Must meet training and certificate requirements for working in a TSA shipping facility.
  • Detail oriented and good time management skills.
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Able to work independently.
  • A self-motivated work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive demeanor in order to interact with a variety of positions and levels within Thales as well as visitors.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, complex environment and effectively multi-task to meet demands.
  • Excellent English verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.
