We are hiring! Cedar Grove Veterinary Services is looking to add a 6th doctor to our practice that services small and food animals. The open position is intended for someone with a passion for small animal medicine. We are also open to a candidate that wants full or part-time work and preferably someone open to working one or two Saturdays per month. The candidate for this small animal position would not have on-call or holiday hours. New graduates would be offered a great mentorship program that will move at a pace conducive to them feeling comfortable with their own skill set prior to jumping into the veterinary “deep end.”

While the job is intended for a primarily small animal veterinarian, we are a clinic that is open to our veterinarians exploring new and interesting species. Currently, a few of our food animal veterinarians are seeing potbelly pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, bees, and even reindeer in addition to their cattle work. You could be the doctor to see rabbits or hamsters or backyard chickens in addition to your small animal work if you want to: or if you don’t, also great! We just want you to be your best you and we want you to be able to explore other passions in veterinary medicine if you so choose.

Our practice values customer service above all else. As we invest in new technology and practices, we always do so with the needs of our clients in mind. On the small animal side, we pride ourselves on providing good medical and surgical services that our clients need. This includes wellness exams and basic spays/neuters. But we also do extensive abdominal and soft tissue surgeries as well as some orthopedic work. In addition, one of our DVMs is trained in medical acupuncture and an interest in holistic medicine.

We are a privately owned practice with three owners sharing equal roles. Future ownership is an option for full-time veterinarians. Currently we have 2 full time doctors in small animal medicine. We also have 2 full time doctors and 1 part doctor in food animal medicine. The small animal clinic has 5 exams rooms, a large treatment area, a pre-surgical area, one surgical suite, brand new Sono 9 diagnostic ultrasound and digital radiology. We also host an in-house lab with IDEXX equipment for blood and urine analysis. There are multiple emergency referral centers that we utilize when cases are beyond our capabilities and for after-hours emergencies. They are located only 15-30 minutes away.

Our clinic does have all the standard bells and whistles of a general medicine clinic and we offer a great salary package (Competitive salary, medical insurance, dental insurance, retirement plan, vacation time, continuing education stipends, organized veterinary medicine dues).

What else do we have? A great location – 3 minutes to Lake Michigan, 40 minutes to downtown Milwaukee, 70 minutes to Lambeau Field, and 2 hours to Madison. Cedar Grove area is small-town and rural but definitely not in the middle of nowhere. We also have a lot of fun at the practice with our 8 Office staff, 5 CVTs, 3 Assistants, and 5 DVM’s.
