D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Assistant Customer Service Manager - IS. The right candidate will share responsibility with the Customer Service Manager for the overall performance and service provided by the Customer Service Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Meet with homeowners and/or subcontractors to resolve warranty disputes
  • Develop and continually update Customer Service Department policies and procedures and Homeowner's Manual
  • Monitor, maintain, and enforce all budgets
  • Set appointments with homeowners pertaining to items deemed not warrantable
  • Manage a staff of customer service representatives and ensure that customers are retained and satisfied and that their needs are fulfilled
  • Maintain total involvement with the training, communication, and development of all service personnel
  • Review every service request, manage assignments, and offer preliminary guidance as needed to properly prepare the warranty service manager for working each claim
  • Handle all warranty department bills
  • Review all completed warranty request forms as they are returned to the office
  • Generate reports to manage the current number of “outstanding” and “completed” warranty service requests per community per Customer Service Coordinator
  • Track warranty expenditures per home per superintendent per quarter
  • Design and implement improved processes and operational policies
  • Recommend changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs
  • Work toward lowering the average completion time for requests for homeowners
  • Meet with homeowners and subcontractors to resolve issues as needed
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Able to travel overnight

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manages two or more employees in the Warranty Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years related experience and/or training

  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

  • Proficiency with MS Office and email


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong ability to problem solve and multi-task; creative thinking for resolving issues or improving products

  • Good communication skills
