Apogee's ideal Astrophotography or Image Scientist is an key contributor in supporting astrophotographic or image analysis, characterization, and trending. If you love Image Science and developing and/or applying tools to provide analytical insights, then you'll love Apogee and this position!

What You'll Do

• Perform analysis on astronomical imagery, metadata, and systems in support of performance characterization and trade studies
• Provide system performance monitoring, verification, validation, and test (VV&T), and fault isolation
  

• Work independently or lead small teams to generate and deliver study plans, VV&T plans, and reports
• Present final reports, and presentations to customers

Desired Skills

• BS or MS in Physics, Computer Science, Image Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related STEM program
• Experience in: Astronomical Imaging, Image Science, Signal Processing, MATLAB, Python, Systems Engineering, VV&T
