Summary:

Under the general direction of the Support Services Branch Manager, perform diversified duties related to ATM balancing to include depository functions, releasing depositories, researching cash differences and flipping the ATM drawers on a daily basis. Assist the ATM Control Officer with Vendor concerns and cash management as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily Settlements: Process and balance deposits for each ATM. Release depository after balancing is complete. Flip ATM drawers while the vendors are at the ATM’s for balancing. Research and make corrections for cash differences related to the ATM differences. Assist the ATM Department as needed concerning vendor schedules and also with cash management.

Maintenance: Order and maintain branch and remote ATM supplies and coordinate delivery to site through first line vendor. Maintain videotapes for ATM remote locations and assist branch operations, Fraud Security Officer and internal auditing with fraud investigations.

Account Research and Processing: Investigate/resolve issues related to ATM Deposits and withdrawals using appropriate reference tools made available to research account histories. Identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed in an effective and timely manner.

Member Service and Internal Support: Receive written or verbal requests for information and/or assistance from members. Research records and documents as required. Contact member with results. Answer questions from branch operations involving daily ATM settlements.

Cash Management: Order cash for the Automated Teller Machines (ATM) as scheduled. Coordinate cash delivery to the Automated Teller Machines. Monitor cash amounts in the Automated Teller Machines to determine appropriate levels are maintained. Enter cash amount in Spectrum.

Returned Cards: Timely and effectively process and document debit and credit cards that have been returned to the Credit Union via the United States Postal Service.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable).


Qualifications:

  • Education: Equivalent to a high school diploma plus additional courses in accounting and/or computers.
  • Experience: Over one year of accounting and customer service experience. ATM experience preferred, other experience may be substituted.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of basic accounting, the Spectrum system and the ATM product. Familiar with the National Credit Union Administration regulations. Personal computer skills required including Microsoft Word and Excel; familiar with business office procedures, good oral and written communication and problem solving skills, ability to work independently and good use of judgment.
