Auto Glass Technician

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS THROUGHOUT MINNESOTA.

Hiring now for all our locations: St Cloud, Duluth, Mankato, Rochester, St Paul, Minneapolis, Park Rapids. Experienced technicians and trainees wanted!

We are a Minnesota employee-owned company seeking the right individuals to join our team as an Auto Glass Technician. Auto Glass Technicians in this market earn over $27 per hour plus monthly bonuses and end of year profit bonuses. We are part of an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program longer you work at CAG the more stock you earn) offer full benefits including health, dental, life and disability insurance, a 401k plan with 100% company match, a monthly bonus program and commuting privileges with service van. We also provide our technicians with state of the art auto glass specific tools and equipment. Expectations/Responsibilities:

- Installation of a variety of auto glass parts, flat glass cutting and installation,
rock chip repair, and troubleshooting
- Drive up to 100 miles in a day (not including commute)
- Must be prepared to drive in all weather conditions safely
- Keep shop and service vehicle clean and well organized
- Notify the Manager of any required maintenance of our service vehicles
- Notify the Manager of any known maintenance needs of our facilities
- Call customers to inform them of arrival time, make arrangements for pre-inspection when possible, and notify them when running late
- Notify the Manager of any problems that arise with our customers
- Maintain good interpersonal skills with our customers
- Show respect to your fellow employees and work as a team with our Sales Representatives and our Customer Advocates to serve our customers
- Have strong knowledge of AGRSS (Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard) installation requirements and be committed to applying this standard to your installation practices. Including but not limited to; vehicle pre-inspection, adhesive system documentation, and safe drive-away time notification

- Maintain NGA certification
- Maintain certification with our adhesive manufacturer
- Notify the Manager of any defective materials
- Maintain a professional personal appearance
- Maintain Company supplied tools as well as your own tools
- Attend Company meetings and training seminars
- Assist the CSRs with a proactive approach to solve service issues
- Stay updated on the latest tools and techniques by seeking information via
industry publications such as; Auto Glass Magazine or AGRR Magazine,
and/or websites such as; www.glassbytes.com and www.glasslinks.com

Skills:

- Must be capable of lifting repeatedly up to 60 pounds
- Must have ability to push up to 80 pounds and pull up to 95 pounds with arms
- Must have ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lean for up to 30% of the time
- Must have basic knowledge of automobile operation to assure the proper
maintenance and use of our fleet vehicles
- Must have ability to work in all climatic conditions including high heat and
extreme cold
- Must have a good driving record
- Must have good driving skills
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to read a map and understand rural and metropolitan addresses
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to determine correct dealer parts that may be required
