This role is hybrid consisting of both remote and in-office work days.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
The Automotive Data Entry Specialist is responsible for posting all inventory transactions to the general ledger. This includes new manufacturer, used auction, dealer trades and other used vehicle purchases.

Essential Requirements

  • An understanding of General Accounting Principals
  • A general understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in automotive accounting
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Must be at-least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass pre employment screening (background and drug)

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval
  • Ensure all inventory is posted to the general ledger timely, accurately and within company guidelines
    • New Manufacturer
    • Used auction purchase
    • Dealer Trades
    • Third party (non-auction) purchases
  • Ensure all auction sales are posted to the general ledger timely and within company guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with all audit key controls
  • Review exception reports daily and ensure all correcting entries are posted
  • Other duties as assigned

Relationships

  • Dealership GM, Controllers, office managers and new vehicle managers
  • DSC and Regional Management
