AV (Audio-Visual) Project Coordinator

$26- $28/hr.

Onsite position

7-4 or 8-5 working hours

We are excited to find an experienced AV Project Coordinator with a proven track record to serve as a point of contact for all AV projects for a well-known technology company that has been in business for over 30 years in Houston. We are looking for someone with a passion for technical audio equipment details and planning, personnel training, audio-visual experiences, team management, and a commitment to executing audio-visual projects to join their operations team. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, quantifiable leadership talents, exposure to installed audio-visual systems, strong delegation skills, and abilities in project management. This position is full-time and located in Houston near the West Sam Houston Tollway. Become an expert in coordinating specific AV steps to resolve audiovisual issues.

AV Project Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Provides technical direction and planning, scheduling, and delivery of AV equipment
• Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
• Reviews the work of the team and provides feedback on equipment performance
• Creates and executes development plans to meet changing needs and requirements
• Informs status and be a liaison between technician staff and clients
• Understands technical concepts and support of Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Local Audio Reinforcement, Video, and Graphics Technologies (including LED Walls, switching, and formatting), Video Recording and Camera Operation, and Internet Broadcast Video Streaming
• Possesses significant knowledge of technical AV system supports and delegates agenda items to be completed
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion and keeps management abreast of any delays or changes
• Inspires coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
• Facilitates effective team interaction
• Coordinate training as new AV technology is implemented.
• Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.

Audio Visual Project Coordinator Requirements:

• Minimum high school or GED
• Construction experience a huge plus
• 5+ years of working knowledge of audio-visual equipment with proficiency in lighting, sound, video recording and data projection along with experience with the technical challenges and problem-solving needs in an event production environment
• Ability to motivate and focus cross-functional teams to reach challenging goals
• Excellent task management, and verbal & written communication skills, combined with relentless follow-up
• Loves working in a team-oriented environment and is highly motivated to provide a positive user experience
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding technical environment, under immense pressure
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
