JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: AVP Branch Manager II- Bensalem Branch

Department: Retail Division

Reports To: AVP Regional Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt M/T 40

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for leading, coaching and managing the branch team, developing and driving new memberships and small business relationships within the market as well as the overall performance of the branch including all sales and performance goals. Ensure providing superior member experience through building a strong, collaborative and self-sufficient team. This is an individual and team production sales and service role.

Branch Manager II will be responsible for larger more complex branches and is a leader and resource among peers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consistently provide superior service to both internal and external members beyond existing standards.
  • Manager and/or escalates service delivery issues to Branch Operations for immediate resolution, or sets service level expectation with member on response time.
  • Ensures operational integrity including compliance in all policies and procedures. Includes managing operating expenses of branch.
  • Works with Field Representative to identify and correct potential audit issues and recurring exceptions.
  • Assures Branch physical security; dual control, audits, compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Includes after hours support for alarms and ATMs.
  • Responsible for loss prevention and protecting the TruMark from controllable losses including, but not limited to, identity theft, kiting, new account fraud, counterfeit check fraud, processing errors, teller differences and theft.
  • Responsible for achieving all sales, service, operational and profitability goals in an ethical and sound manner.
  • Creates a team environment, influencing and evolving the branch sales culture and the development of and execution of the TruService Member Experience.
  • Develops and implements branch strategy and assigns ownership and accountability of goals on an individual level.
  • Coaches and manages individual team members on sales, referral and service programs.
  • Leverages reports and systems to analyze trends and coach employees on how to effectively achieve goals the member experience in mind.
  • Acts a business development officer for the market to generate Centers of Influence and derive new membership and business opportunities.
  • Actively participate in community activities and organizations to promote TruMark’s brand, image and growth.
  • Presentation of financial literacy program on an as needed basis pursuant to school and community relations schedule.
  • Represents TruMark on community organization committees and boards.
  • Small business development and lending experience.
  • Ability to leverage existing Centers of Influence and book of business to drive new memberships.
  • Ability to call on prospective businesses and coordinate and collaborate with internal partners and experts to earn full relationship of business client, including business, personal and employees.
  • Competency in small business lending and deposit relationships.
  • Is innovative and forward thinking with the retail industry and stays current with the usage of systems and technology to better demonstrate alternative delivery channels.
  • Facilitates and/or assists in leading projects at multiple levels of the organization
  • A champion and driver of innovation and continuous improvement, creating an effective and efficient means to provide a superior member experience.
  • Coordinate work schedules with vacations and approved leaves of absence to ensure adequate service coverage is maintained within staffing levels.
  • Collaborate with HR on all personnel functions in accordance to applicable statues.
  • Demonstrates and encourages a continuous learning environment, including completion of required and assigned training in a timely manner.
  • Performs any and all branch tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or required, including re-assignment.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business field and/or 5-10 years of branch management or equivalent work experience with a financial institution.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Previous experience in an aggressive financial sales environment required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with members and employees.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and publically present in a sophisticated and professional manner.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to perform expeditiously and accurately without constant supervision and frequent interruption. Includes ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent technical aptitude, including working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Proficient financial aptitude.
  • Thorough understanding of all products and services, features and benefits as well as associated procedural details.
  • Must possess good strategic, analytical and decision making abilities.
  • Must have excellent conflict resolutions skills.
  • Flex time may be necessary to include nights and weekends.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret compensation, tax, financial, legal, regulatory reports and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from members, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present job related information to employees.

Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate standard office equipment including but not limited to: a computer, typewriter, adding machine, facsimile machine, photocopier, and telephone.
