Position: AWS Solutions Architect

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite/Hybrid)

Client: IGT / United Airlines

Note: This is a Hybrid position.

Job Description :

• Architecting, Planning and Implementation of cloud infrastructure (end-to-end Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications utilizing best practices from Data Architecture, Data Integration and Data Management solutions would be preferred)
• Define Governance (including Backup and Recovery Policy) for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and BI environments using AWS
• Owning technical engagements, ensuring timely and successful value delivery.
• Owning the planning, execution, technical engagement, and outcomes of specific implementation projects and assignments.
• Understanding the AWS market segments, industry verticals, and customer base.
• Gaining technological knowledge of the construction of applications and services using the AWS platform.
• Developing solutions for Amazon’s businesses and products and addressing technological challenges using strategic thinking.
• Serving as a key technical member of the business development team to ensure customer success while building applications and services on the AWS platform.
• Designing, Installing and Configuring relevant AWS partner applications (along with monitoring utilities).
• Perform hands-on project implementation using various AWS services like EC2, EBS, S3, SNS, SES, Redshift, etc.

Experience:

• Proficient in building scripts in Python and Linux
• Expertise in architecting AWS solution in both public and hybrid cloud setup.
• In-depth hands-on experience on Amazon Web Services public cloud and their various services such as EC2, EBS, S3, SNS, SES, RDS, Redshift, SFTP, AWS Directory Services, Kinesis, etc.
• Sound experience in designing scalable, failover, deployable architecture and application migration on AWS.
• Excellent communication skills (must be able to interface with both technical and business leaders in the organization)

Certification:

• AWS Solution Architect – Associate Level certified is mandatory

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Houston, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Azure: 1 year (Preferred)
• AWS: 1 year (Preferred)
