Who we are
The WeightWatchers Commerce team builds the tools to support all WW commerce: every channel, world-wide. We move quickly and want to build the best possible solutions for our members, so we develop our features using modern engineering practices such as Agile methodology, CI/CD, microservices architecture. We are a Fullstack team, looking for dedicated Backend engineers who can improve our architecture to support our roadmap over the next 18 months and beyond.
What you will do
As a Backend engineer on this team, you will design and code for new features, like our recently launched
marketplace integration
. In this role you will design and implement low-latency, highly available and performing applications that scale for millions of users. As a legacy company, there will always be legacy code, but we rely on our senior engineers to be future-focused, and bring in emerging tech.
Who you are

1-3 years of designing and implementing an API in Node.js or other JavaScript framework

Passionate implementing cutting edge JavaScript technologies (Webpack, ES6, Express, Babel, Angular2)

Thorough understanding of user experience and UI design principles

Interest in eCommerce and public facing APIs

Team player – you care about those around you and are excited to share knowledge with your peers

Experience with React, preferred
