Position Summary:
Assist customers and keep bakery products stocked. Role model and demonstrate the Company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.
Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Job Functions:
Model “Customer 1st” behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service Provide customer service
Receive and process Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and plant bakery freight
Stock commercial bakery product, maintain displays
Maintain merchandise rotation
Monitor overstock/understock conditions
Process orders, including Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO)
Build and maintain vendor relationships
Verify ads and promotions are set to standard
Verify compliance with divisional signing, recovery, and merchandising standards
Process salvage
Verify accuracy of price changes
Process product deletions
Prepare for physical inventory, as directed
Perform department housekeeping on an ongoing basis to maintain appearance and safety standards
Promote and follow Company initiatives
Comply with all corporate policies
Comply with all safety guidelines and standards

Minimum Position Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or up to one month related experience or training; or combination of relevant education and experience.
Minimum 18 years of age
Ability to pass drug test
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work weekends on a regular basis and overtime as needed
Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
Familiarity with bakery terms and processes
Ability to work within set time frames/fixed deadlines
Any licenses or certificates required by federal and/or state
