Job description
As the Barn Manager at Frontier Cove you will see the mission of New Life Ranch carried out through the interaction of our guests and campers with God's creation. You will provide an engaging environment for our guests and campers to interact and learn from our horses with safety in mind. You will be responsible for herd management, as well as facilitating all Frontier Cove horsemanship activities such as Horse Camps, trail rides, summer horsemanship, pony rides, and riding classes.
About You:
- You can design, implement, and evaluate lessons for both groups and individuals.
- You are knowledgeable in horsemanship theory and riding skills, able to effectively communicate instruction and physical assistance to students.
- You have a basic knowledge and understanding of equine anatomy and physiology, so that you can manage the feeding, health care, and maintenance of horses.
- On your own, you can safely catch, halter, lead, tie, groom and tack horses.
- You safely and competently ride a walk, trot/jog, and canter/lope in arenas and open spaces.
