A bartender is a key position in the restaurant. Making a proper drink is just one of the many components that make a good bartender. An outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to exceed customer expectations is another important quality of a good bartender. Achieving outstanding customer service involves greeting and providing excellent hospitality service to each guest and always making sure the guest knows your name. Customer satisfaction provides the opportunity to build repeat business and establish regular clientele, which allows you to be successful. Looking for someone who has at least 2 years of bartending experience.

Reports To: Assistant Manager, General Manager, COO, Owner

General Job Description:

• Arrive to work on time, in clean uniform and ready to work
• Check your schedule weekly to see if there are any changes
• Keep availability up to date
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Counting the drawer before and after a shift
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer through the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
• Memorize and pour the proper amount of alcohol in drinks as per LHC’s cocktail ingredient list
• Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the guests satisfied at all times
• Perform opening and closing checklist duties
• Take beverage orders from guests and servers
• Accept guest payment, process credit cards and make change (if necessary)
• Make specific drink recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
• Know how to process gift cards
• Help Crew members maintain buffet
• Help Crew members clear dirty dishes off tables
• Assist staff in taking dirty dishes off boat
• Assist with getting garbage off the boat
• Drive the Gator or golf cart correctly and safely
• Assist with loading food onto Miss Lotta before each cruise
• Report all low stock, equipment problems, and maintenance issues to management
• Assist in the restocking, reporting, and replenishment of boat inventory and supplies
• Restock refrigerator in storage each cruise
• Notify management anytime a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
• Prepare and restock garnishes and bar mixes
• Print an end-of-day report and hand it to the manager. This needs to be handed into administration for our records
• Cruise Sales Report needs to be completed after every cruise and dropped in Camp-Six safe.
• Properly ID someone if underage or believed to be underage
• Must attend all safety classes (CPR, First Aid, AED, Safety drills, Captain’s License)
• Fully up to date with company details, policies, cruise descriptions, prices & schedule
• All new bartenders must work at least 2 training shifts
