Job description
Serves as BASC Project Coordinator for Behavior Alliance of South Carolina (BASC). The BASC, a technical assistance provider funded by the South Carolina Department of Education, is focused on improving outcomes for students in the areas of social emotional behavior learning, mental wellness, and self-advocacy using the MTSS framework. Responsible for communications, public relations, scheduling, technology systems, meeting minutes, agendas, announcements, flyers, briefs, training platforms. Supports to the BASC Leadership Team, and direct report to the BASC Technical Assistance Manager. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
25% - Essential - Communications
Creates, maintains, and organizes all BASC-related agendas, meetings, calendar invites, meeting links, and follow-up meeting minutes. Furthermore, the coordinator will monitor the BASC email, organize the manager¿s calendar and communications, and support overall flow of information for effectiveness.
25% - Essential - Public Relations
Ensures all public facing BASC materials meet a high level of visual appeal, accessibility, and professionalism. Responsible for creating items such as flyers, newsletters, publications, briefs, announcements, folders, drives, websites, and other methods of public relations.
25% - Essential - Technology
Serves as an active user & trainer of the Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc.); have the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and be able to teach others how to use technology platforms. The ability to quickly learn when it comes to implementation of project management platforms, and organizes folders, drives, and files with extreme accuracy and attention to detail.
15% - Essential - Training Platforms & Methods
Organizer and user of online learning platforms and the ability to learn new ones quickly. This includes the management of registration practices, online learning meeting platforms (i.e. Zoom), and advanced features of such suites.
10% - Essential - Project Coordination
Leads on all things related to organization and structure. Provides the Technical Assistance Manager with assistance in ensuring the BASC is operating efficiently and effectively. Develops internal operating infrastructures and takes responsibility for other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School or Equivalent and related experience
Work Experience: 1+ years
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public relations, communications, media, education, or related field.

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
