The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Behavioral Health Worker to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. • Base hourly rate range of $16.85 to $20.23; based on previous relevant experience

Responsibilities for Behavioral Health Worker

• Facilitate groups as assigned and assist with development of behavioral health group curriculum
• Provide assertive outreach directed toward engaging and maintaining client relationships as well as relationships with caregivers
• Provide ongoing support and follow-through for client goal attainment in the areas of these life domains: home, financial/insurance, vocational/educational, health, relationships, leisure/recreation, daily living skills
• Transport clients to and from appointments and activities when necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Service field preferred
• Equivalent work experience in the human services field, or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education, with one year of experience substituting for one year of education, may be considered
• One year volunteer or paid experience working with individuals in the community
• Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance
• Covid-19 vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption
