Position Summary:

The Cliffs Hotel and Spa is looking to hire friendly, service-oriented people for our Bell Stand. The Bellman and Valet Attendants are all guests' first impression of The Cliffs Hotel and Spa and are vital to the success of the property.

You must be 21 years of age or older to valet and park a hotel guest's vehicle with no passengers inside.

By providing a welcoming atmosphere, handling all guest property with care and always being a concierge all bell staff are instrumental in making sure all are making lasting, happy memories through genuine service and thoughtful amenities.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Loading and unloading luggage carts and vehicles as needed
• Opening and closing vehicle doors for arriving guests
• Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends based on occupancy,
• Issuing valet parking tickets
• Safely park guest's vehicles in valet lot
• Loads and unloads luggage carts and vehicles as needed
• Escort guests to room, provide room tour and additional assistance as needed.
• Provide recommendations for local dining and activities to guests.
• Drive company vehicles throughout San Luis Obispo County, including daily airport picks ups.
• Ascertain and use guests name as frequently as possible and introduce the guest by name to front office staff.
• Makes manager aware of any guest's comments or complaints.
• Performs any other job-related task as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Must provide proof of a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to run for extended periods of time
• Must have multitasking strengths
• Professional appearance
• Ability to work with people a must
• Excellent command of English language
• Must have the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and or 50 lbs frequently and/or 20 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull objects
• Ability to stand continuously for duration of shift (6-8 hours a day)
• Ability to walk/run continuously for duration of shift (6-8 hours a day)
• Ability to work in stressful situations
