We are hiring a Director of Beverage to manage both of our locations in San Francisco, CA. Kaiyo Rooftop on the 12th floor of the Hyatt Place Hotel, only blocks away from Oracle Park & Kaiyo Cow Hollow.

General Expectations:
The position is a salaried leadership position with opportunities to grow within the company. As Beverage Director you will be in charge of the entire beverage program for 2 restaurants. You will oversee the rotating cocktail program ensuring the drinks are fresh, seasonal and innovative. You will handle staffing, inventory control, pour costs and labor expense. This is a management position at the highest level and will work in partnership with the Executive Chef, General Manager and Owner.
Beverage Director Responsibilities:

• Oversee entire beverage program and offerings
• Cocktail creation and development
• Determine employees’ schedules and manage labor costs
• Hire, train, promote, and, when necessary, discipline staff
• Maintain budget and monitor beverage costs
• Maintain Inventory Controls
• Checking invoices for accuracy
• Appropriately delegate tasks to staff
• Assist with FOH managerial responsibilities

Beverage Director Requirements:

• Must have 3+ years bar management experience
• Must be fluent in cocktail creation and strong knowledge of spirits
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of FOH operations including menu updates and cash handling
• Must be able to manage pour costs and labor expense
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills with a keen attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
• Ability to manage a variety of projects and initiatives concurrently
• Team player who can both lead and carry out the vision of other leaders when directed
• Self-starter, able to work independently

Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
