The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Beverage Manager to join our Food and Beverage team and be an integral part of our guest-focused service.

Key Accountabilities

• Initiate and maintain a friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
• Ensure consistency and correct service techniques for all meal periods to be followed by all staff members.
• Understand all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
• Have extensive expert knowledge of wines and all other beverages.
• Utilize the POS system as per policies and procedure in place.
• Communicate with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and to maintain an excellent rapport within the entire Food & Beverage Department to stimulate continuous improvement.

General Requirements

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Professional beverage training.
• 2 years of food and beverage serving experience at similar position.
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs for loading and unloading.
• Impeccable skills in planning, grooming and presentation.
• Ability to communicate with guests and managers
