Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the front-end billing department
• Complete daily processes & month end close
• Develop and manage billing rules in practice management system and in clearinghouse
• Work with IT and Clearinghouse to ensure proper EDI setup and resolve system issues
• Set up and manage /update Practice Management System including provider profiles, CPT Codes, Fees, etc.
• Reduce turnaround time from date of service to clean claim submission
• Hires, retains, motivates, develops and evaluates department staff
• Identifies process improvements to increase productivity, reduce errors, and improve claim submission turnaround times
• Performs audits to ensure quality and production metrics are consistently met
• Manages Altus’ billing communications with upper management regarding areas of concern and non-performance; effectively communicating any revenue cycle trends, updates, or any other pertinent information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of billing management experience within a healthcare environment with an understanding of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process
• Excel, Google Sheets or similar experience preferred
• Previous experience with both on-shore and off-shore experience a plus
• Previous infusion, respiratory (ENT) or rheumatology billing experience a plus
• Certified Coder a plus
• Experience with Imagine and Availity a plus
