BODYPUMP™ Instructor

DETAILS:

• Baierl Family YMCA – 2565 Nicholson Road, Sewickley, PA 15143
• 1-2 Classes Each Week | Sunday mornings needed!
• Shifts may vary due to class times and events

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director/Coordinator of Healthy Living, the Group Exercise Instructor I assists in administering all programs of the Healthy Living Department. Group Exercise Instructors lead group classes and are responsible for learning names of members and assisting them in safe equipment usage and exercise form. They promote and field questions regarding existing YMCA programs and maintain a clean and safe environment for members. These functions are in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Association and the YMCA mission.

Job Specifications:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to educate and motivate staff, members, volunteers and community about YMCA Mission
• Hours vary depending on need, including weekend and evening.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• BodyPump™ certification required
• Must model a healthy lifestyle.
• Must maintain current CPR, First Aid, and AED.
• Must complete the on-line safety trainings within 5 days of hire.

• Maintain current specialty certification, as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to two years group exercise teaching experience.

Candidates must have final Criminal Clearance certificates for 'Employment' prior to starting employment. This includes:

• PA Criminal Certificate
• PA FBI - Use Code: 1kg738
• PA Child Abuse
• National Sex Offender Registry

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sewickley, PA 15143: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
