Ensures the assignment, sourcing, and logistics of organization's vehicles and equipment are being handled in a timely manner. Ensures that processes are followed, and all equipment management systems are updated timely and accurately. Familiar with a variety of the field operations’ concepts, practices, and work procedures. Follows procedures for acquisition and divestiture of fleet assets including on-road and off-road equipment.
Position Overview:
Ensures the assignment, sourcing, and logistics of organization's vehicles and equipment are being handled in a timely manner. Ensures that processes are followed, and all equipment management systems are updated timely and accurately. Familiar with a variety of the field operations’ concepts, practices, and work procedures. Analyzes life cycle and utilization rates making recommendations on replacement, addition and / or sale of assets as needed. Follows procedures for acquisition and divestiture of fleet assets including on-road and off-road equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Monitors equipment orders are filled in a timely manner from start to finish.
· Maintains owned fleet asset utilization.
· Interacts with Field Operations to fill project needs.
· Ensures data systems are updated timely and accurately.
. Audits equipment statuses regularly.
· Responsible for compliance to all company policies and practices as well as any government regulations (Insurance, Registration, DOT, etc.).
Requirements and Qualifications:
· At least 5 years’ experience in fleet management and equipment operations, preferable in the equipment rental industry.
· Ability to follow instruction and communicate effectively.
· Proven ability to multi-task.
· Think and act strategically carrying out long-term plans to meet operational needs and departmental goals.
· Sound knowledge of computer software such as Access, Excel, Viewpoint, P-Vault.
