This job includes providing exceptional customer service, providing support to the Branch Manager, conducting member transactions which include withdrawals, deposits, loan payments and check cashing, performing lending functions, cross-selling credit union products and services to meet monthly goals and accurately balancing a cash drawer.

We are currently seeking a full-time employee to work 40 hours a week at our Waukesha location. Must be available all branch hours and very flexible to be considered for these positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides general guidance and advice to member service staff to provide the efficient handling of member needs and transactions.
• Assists in the ongoing training and education of member service staff to provide the expertise necessary to perform duties effectively.
• Performs all teller line overrides / vault needs and monitors the member service on the front line and in drive thru.
• Ensures that members are greeted and served promptly and efficiently at all times.
• Ensures that the branch is kept neat and clean on a consistent basis.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

• May perform all duties of teller, including vault teller as needed.
• Cross-sells all services offered by the Credit Union. Answers member inquiries regarding savings and loan programs, and counsels members with problems that cannot be resolved by the Tellers or Member Service Representatives. Directs specific questions to the appropriate departments.
• May handle special member requests such as IRA's, Certificates of Deposit, direct deposit, ACH, and account maintenance.
• May perform lending functions such as interviewing, closing and processing.
• Serves as back up to the Branch Manager and makes supervisory decisions when needed.
• Check approval authority at manager’s discretion.
• Serves as a Notary Public.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Education/Experience: Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: Successful completion of high school diploma or GED. A minimum of six months experience in cash handling and customer service.

SKILLS:

• Ability to operate routine office equipment; typing at 35 words per minute minimum.
• A demonstrated ability to interpret and explain Credit Union policy and transactions posted to members' accounts and to adhere to policy.
• Thorough knowledge of Credit Union services offered to membership and demonstrated ability to cross-sell/refer such services effectively.
• Interpersonal skills to represent Credit Union positively in dealing with members and teller transactions.
• Ability to exercise judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with people.
• Must present a professional, business-like appearance and manner.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Must be detail-oriented, accurate in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to change quickly.
• Must be bondable.
