I. SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving daily breakfast buffet, greeting each guest and ensuring the guests are comfortable and overall satisfied. All employees are required to maintain clean professional appearance and good hygiene of both themselves and their uniform.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Guest Service

• Positively interact with guests
• Offers guests assistance whenever possible.
• Responsible for positively representing and promoting the property.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
• Listening and responding to guest requests and complaints
• Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.

Breakfast Operations

• Providing personalized service to all guests
• Setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet as required by brand standards
• Brewing coffee and stocking juice and milk dispensers
• Preparing and setting up hot food items
• Setting out/arranging cold food items, such as pastries and cereals
• Setting up serving dishes, utensils, cups and other paper products
• Restocking items consistently throughout breakfast hours and ensuring no items run out
• Ensuring hot/cold food items are kept at appropriate temperatures
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
• Wiping up spills as they occur
• Keeping breakfast area clean including removing of trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets and floors.
• Returning reusable food supplies to storage
• Washing serving equipment and returning to storage
• Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
• Ensuring accurate ordering needs are communicated to management

Other Duties as Assigned including…

• Cleaning other public areas as assigned
• Emptying trash in public areas and entryways

III. SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous food handling experience required
• Oregon Food Handlers card preferred – must obtain within 30 days of hiring
• Superior customer service skills
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Ability to efficiently work in fast-paced environment
• Able to work a flexible schedule & early hours
• Ability to work well both independently and as a team
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds regularly
• Stand, walk, and remain on feet to perform duties throughout entire shift.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 per hour
