As a Business Analyst at Rocksbox, you'll help drive an outsized impact to our business strategies through providing valuable data and customer insights. We need smart people (like you!) to help us continue to deliver the best customer experience possible and innovate on new business opportunities. As part of a small and nimble team, you'll have the chance to impact every department, understand how all the pieces fit together, and learn and grow quickly. This role reports to the Director of Analytics.

(This role is offered as a hybrid setting with 2 days per week on-site at our San Francisco HQ.)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting to measure performance and inform strategic decision-making across the organization
  • Analyze trends and interpret data to identify impactful opportunities and provide meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Serve as a business owner for analytics tools - automating recurring data needs, documenting data models and best practices, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and facilitating a self service model among teams
  • Evaluate results from experimentation and A/B testing and provide recommendations to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with team members from all functional areas; build relationships across the team to ensure that rich customer data fuels new business insights

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years in roles combining data analysis with business strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret large data sets, connect the dots across multiple disciplines, and tell a compelling story with data
  • Strong intellectual curiosity with entrepreneurial approach and exceptional business judgment
  • Proactive self-starter who is data-curious, comfortable with adapting to change, and excited to learn new skills
  • A proven ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with business partners and executives
  • Effective communication at a detailed technical level while able to summarize at an executive level
  • Excellent modeling and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel and G-Suite skills
  • Passionate about improving the customer experience

Bonus points if:

  • Familiarity with subscription business models
  • Experience with e-commerce data (e.g. AOV, LTV, inventory sell-through, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL, Looker, Heap, and/or Looker Studio

The salary range for this opportunity is $90,000 – 110,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
