Business Development

Gilman Precision, located in Grafton’s Industrial Park on Highway 60 and I-43, develops customized slides and spindles for value-minded engineers with exacting needs and standards. We are looking to add a Business Development Specialist that is responsible for the tactics and activities that will increase sales revenues from new targeted accounts and organic customer growth. Gilman offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefit package including health, dental, long and short term disability insurance, life insurance, and quarterly and annual performance bonuses.

Desired Characteristics

Must have:

· Minimum 3-5 years industrial sales experience.

· Ability to learn a new business and new product offerings.

· Great market investigator (trends, new markets, new opportunities).

· Strong work ethic; honesty and integrity.

· Great communicator both verbally and written.

· Significant phone experience.

· Willing to work full time in Grafton office.

Should have:

· Experience selling major accounts with a sales cycle longer than 2 months.

· Experience selling projects over $5,000.

· Experience working in a compensation plan of base salary + bonus.

· Experience selling through distribution.

· Skill using sales tools and customer data.

· Knowledge or experience in two or three of these industries:

Machine Tool, Aerospace, Medical Equipment, Automotive

Would be nice to have:

· Experience working for a small company.

· Experience with trade shows

· CNC experience

· Ability to read blueprints.

· Established network within current industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
