The Company, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates the following premier facilities: Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Dover Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, North Wilkesboro Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Sonoma Raceway, and Texas Motor Speedway.


Bristol Motor Speedway is a versatile multi-use venue that hosts major auto races, football games, concerts and many other captivating events. The facility hosts two NASCAR Cup Series race weekends each year and features a 0.533-mile oval race track with both concrete and dirt configurations. The adjacent quarter-mile dragstrip, Bristol Dragway, offers more than 50 events annually, including the marquee NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. The Thunder Valley Amphitheatre transforms Bristol Dragway into a premier outdoor concert venue for the world’s greatest music performers. Three football games have kicked-off inside the oval, most notably the 2016 Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol, where border rivals the University of Tennessee and Virginia Tech met before an NCAA-record crowd of 156,990.

Summary:


This position is primarily responsible for selling corporate events at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway including private and ticketed events, commercial shoots, business meetings, company outings, venue rentals and other revenue-producing opportunities. This position also includes managing a book of established clients along with the ability to sell advertising, sponsorships, hospitality, suites, and other revenue-producing opportunities for both Bristol NASCAR & Dragway Events. The individual will also assist with special projects and events as assigned including marketing, planning, implementation, and follow-through of logistical and tactical event details relating to corporate events, sponsorships, corporate displays, hospitality, suites, and various other partnership elements.


Responsibilities:


  • Support BMS business development efforts, with an emphasis on corporate events, facility rentals, premium suite and hospitality
  • Continuously prospect to develop new business through research, outreach and networking
  • Grow existing relationships and sales offerings of current accounts
  • Originate custom tailored concepts and create proposals and pitch decks for prospects and partners.
  • Execute contractually obligated assets for all owned accounts
  • Meet and exceed personal sales revenue targets for the season and each major event
  • Collaborate with the BMS and Speedway Motorsports national sales team in the development of strategies, plans, and initiatives relative to new and renewal business development
  • Work within a collaborative team environment with other track sales executives and staff
  • Maintain up-to-date sales activities (Salesforce CRM), commission reports, expenses, as well as daily and weekly sales records
  • Responsible to be on-site for all special events, major events, and other events as needed
  • Learning, following, and providing feedback on our policies and processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Team player

  • Demonstrated history of building and maintaining a substantial sales pipeline

  • Proficient with MS Office Products & CRM (Salesforce)
  • Available to work weekends for major events
  • Flexibility for travel (weekdays and some weekends)

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree; concentration in related fields
  • Minimum of 5+ years sales experience in event and/or entertainment industry

Entertainment Venue Sales Experience is desirable
