Overview
The Business and Financial Analyst will be responsible for analysis and reporting of financial and business trends including but not limited to financial analysis, billing analysis, expense report analysis, trend analysis, forecasting, flash reporting, and pricing analysis.
Responsibilities
- Complete financial modeling and economic analysis for a portfolio of oilfield service and industrial projects.
- Perform monthly project budget updates and model roll-up to support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A’s) Reports.
- Provide business planning, financial forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Analysis of Key Performance Indicators needed to help drive operational improvements.
- Conduct due diligence on current as well as potential projects.
- Analysis and decision support for business case development as well as forecasting and ongoing monitoring of new business initiatives.
- Maintain confidential financial information
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Strategical Analysis or Business Administration
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Demonstrated interest in a career in Energy, Oil & Gas Industry
- High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex strategic problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including extensive Excel skills
- Strong capabilities for developing and presenting analyses and insights to senior management
- Highly proficient in MS Excel (advanced proficiency required), Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Evidence of solid research and writing skills
- Strong quantitative aptitude with an extremely high level of attention to detail and a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work product
- Excellent personal organizational skills
- Ability to lead weekly meetings with functional leads
- Ability to summarize complex issues and opportunities into succinct and actionable deliverables
- Solid understanding of economic and business concepts
- Highly driven and hard working with high standards for themselves and others
- Initiative-taker able to work in low structure environment
