The Business Information Security Advisor is responsible for understanding the structure of the business offerings and then applying cyber security expertise to the full lifecycle of offering development through delivery to the customer. This role is ultimately a cyber security liaison to Xerox business teams and requires effective, collaborative relationships with many key stakeholders across the company.

The Business Information Security Advisor is a business-aligned role that specializes in cyber security relevant to the Xerox business. This role ensures that the business understands that cyber security is a business necessity and assists them in how to securely implement secure customer-facing technologies and protect customer information.

The Business Information Security Advisor supports Xerox’s Solutions and Services global business teams in their customer pursuits as well as on-boarding and supporting security maintenance on their awarded business.

Our business unit-focused security team is a critical function in demonstrating Xerox’s security position and strength; security is typically a differentiator in our customer’s award selection criteria.

Responsibilities:

· Support Xerox business teams as the Information security authority for Xerox

· Advise and translate to the business on cyber security requirements, policy, and regulatory compliance

· Coordinate and drive remediation, as needed, against security standards

· Review and advise on security requirements in contracts, field customer meetings, etc.

· Maintain domain knowledge around Xerox business offerings as well as the security posture for the IT environments supporting those offerings to respond to Security, Privacy and Compliance inquiries

· Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the company, i.e. Business and IT teams, to effectively source other domain knowledge in completing required documentation

· Provide security Subject Matter Expertise to support new bids, existing customer requirements and special initiatives, such as assessing impact of changing regulations on cyber security

· Maintain cyber security domain knowledge base that facilitates business self-service for pre-populating client requests

· Assist business teams (Offerings, Sales and Delivery) in answering questions related to current deal structure for the purpose of assisting them in customer’s Sales and RFP response processes, as well as general requests for information and consulting on security sections of contracts

· Collaborate with other departments and SMEs to develop responses to new or atypical questions

Education and Experience Required:

· B.S in computer science, information systems, information security, engineering or related field

· At least 5+ years' of related experience in an enterprise environment

· One or more Industry-standard security certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CTPRP)

· Experience in a technology company’s business support a plus!

· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple open items of varying size concurrently

· Uncompromising personal and professional integrity and ethics

· Proven understanding of basic technologies in use within business offering and ability to assess controls against standardized frameworks, e.g. NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.

The Ideal Candidate:

· Strong understanding of and/or prior experience in cyber security response during business pursuit and customer retention processes

· Demonstrated ability to write grammatically correct documentation that is comprehensive and technically accurate

· Ability to handle "quick" work in support of proposal requests (e. g.: security, technical, and product and services documentation)

· Experience coordinating and leading solution focused meetings between the business and/or other IT SMEs

· Discipline to audit, update, and maintain boilerplate cyber security information in knowledge base

· Demonstrate sound judgment to assess highest priorities; ability to manage time and resources appropriately

· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail a must

· Must be a highly motivated, have lots of energy, and be able to learn and work with little supervision

· Strong oral communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management
