As a Business Process Improvement Specialist, you will lead process improvement projects as well as coaching and mentoring others in process improvement methodology. You will have the opportunity to apply improvement principles to existing and proposed new processes to achieve key business objectives across commercial operations for our Companion Animal Group.Does that sound like you?
We are hiring for two openings.
In the role of Business Process Improvement Specialist:
You will develop a productive partnership with Business Administrators, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and technical team members and serve as a consultant by evaluating, planning and implementing improvements in business processes.
You will be part of the team that will guide the development and/or revision of these processes based upon continuous improvement principles.
You will analyze current processes and systems and work with teams to create more efficient and effective business processes.
You may research workflows and business procedures to make recommended changes, and gaining alignment from appropriate roles to implement those changes.
You can also expect to participate in change management activities associated with process improvement.
You will engage subject matter experts and department leaders to obtain support and buy-in for changes.
You will partner with project champions, and process owners to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.
You will research best practices and prepare recommendations on appropriate solutions where applicable.
What You Need to Succeed:
You will need a demonstrated ability to effectively resolve conflicts, lead through a network of relationships, and drive both simple and complex projects to resolution.
You should have experience serving as a lead business process change agent to drive change and infuse the use of Lean and other process improvement methodologies at appropriate levels of the organization. Experience working with and leveraging data, reporting tools and analytics will be critical as well in this role.
You should have experience teaching problem solving methodologies and be comfortable managing the process of selecting, scoping and prioritizing improvement projects including careful review of resource utilization.
You will have high ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization and have a proven track record for explaining a process to leaders and developers/analysts. You’ll need experience capturing complex requirements to meet business objectives and be proficient in functional design documentation.
You will need to possess excellent communication, facilitation, teamwork and presentation skills as well as strong decision-making ability
You will have understanding and experience with basic statistical tools such as SPC, confidence intervals and basic multi-factor testing and graphical analysis techniques.
You will have understanding and experience with basic Cost of Poor Quality breakdowns,. Can differentiate between hard cost savings, cost avoidance, customer experience, productivity, capacity and delivery improvements in quantifiable terms. Metric and dashboard development.
You will have understanding and experience with transactional problem solving methods such as Apollo, sequence of events, “Five Whys” and Y-X. Ability to develop risk assessments and verification/ validation plans for process changes.
You will preferably have experience leading teams on improvement and change initiatives
You can be flexible with changing priorities
You preferably will have project management experience
You preferably will have some systems experience (SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
You preferably will have a strong business acumen
