Position Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Leads client projects from strategy development and requirements planning to testing, execution, and transition. Works with IS team, IIG business partners, external clients, and consultants to align strategies of various objectives for win-win outcome for Vanguard and clients. Provides direction and motivation to project team and is accountable for effective execution and quality project management.
- Leverages project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to develop, monitor progress toward, and deliver on project plan and timeline. Monitors, analyzes, and reports on project performance and budget relative to plan. Effectively communicates project status and updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Creates a high performing team environment that encourages excellent results and experiences on behalf of clients and stakeholders. Builds trust, earns commitment to team outcomes, and holds self and project teammates accountable for team outcomes. Promotes the development of peers to maximize in-job performance and advance career objectives.
- Consults and works directly with clients both internal and external on a variety of projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Acts as a decisive catalyst for identifying, recommending, and implementing viable alternatives and corrective actions when project performance is not on track for meeting objectives.
Influences and negotiates with key client decision-makers on proactive plan design changes, automated workflows, and risk mitigation for 'best in class retirement plan long-term strategy. - Partners with Relationship Managers, Sales, Recordkeeping Services, Participant Services, and external clients and consultants to deliver on Vanguard's commitments.
- Represents Vanguard at on-site and off-site meetings with prospective and current clients to explain conversion processes and procedures while supporting the sales efforts.
- Acts as a leader among peers and advocates for change and the IS business plan. Drives the execution of short- and long-range priorities for the department.
- Creates a positive environment while effectively challenging the status quo, championing key business initiatives, and gaining senior manager support. Identifies areas for process improvement and leads VUE teams to address various issues.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Basic
- 2+ years related work experience.
- 1+ year of managing a project.
- 1+ year of Financial Services preferred.
- Bachelors Degree
