Summary

Plan and purchase materials to meet requirements in a multiple division manufacturing environment while meeting the quality, cost, and inventory level expectations of BrandFX.

Reports to the Director of Purchasing, Planning and Logistics

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Analyze MRP reports, internal requisitions, production schedules, inventory levels, and open purchase orders to plan material requirements.

· Work with Operations team to eliminate material issues causing production line disruptions.

· Work with Materials Management teams to improve system on-hand balances, avoid excess inventory, improve cycle count programs, move material efficiently between plants, and improve inventory turns.

· Assist in identifying sources of supply, review proposals, negotiate price, and recommend material and/or supplier changes to meet cost improvement objectives of Brand FX.

· Assist in developing, improving, and managing relationships with suppliers to assure quality, cost, delivery, service, and capacity objective are achieved.

· Perform procurement functions in a fast-paced, high demand environment per established processes and work instructions.

o Prepare and place purchase orders to meet manufacturing requirements.

o Obtain purchase order acknowledgements and ensure complete and accurate purchasing documents (purchase orders and requisitions).

o Expedite material deliveries with suppliers to meet manufacturing schedule requirements.

o Review open purchase order report and communicate changes in delivery to Manufacturing Scheduling.

o Work with Accounting team to review and resolve invoice issues.

o Obtain RMA information from suppliers and work with Operations team to return non-conforming material for credit.

· Work with internal customers to assist with systems support and problem resolution.

· Drive continuous improvements for Purchasing and Inventory Management functions.

· Assist in coordination of physical inventory for assigned manufacturing location.

SKILLS and Requirements

. Highly organized and detail oriented.

. Exceptional communicator, able to interact with all levels of the organization.

. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

. Excellent planning and analytical ability.

. Read and understand drawings/blueprints.

. Professional, confident, and dependable.

. Outstanding ethics and value system.

. Any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

. Purchasing Experience in a manufacturing environment desired

. Understanding of MRP, Shop Floor Control, and Planning Systems.

. Highly motivated with ability to be self-sufficient.

. Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

. Outstanding planning, organizational, and negotiation skills.
