About the position:

Responsibilities for CAD Draftsperson

  • Consulting with the team on building methods prior to beginning a project
  • Use critical problem solving to derive tolerances and other information from partial specifications
  • Create engineered 3D designs for a variety of custom millwork and metal fabrication projects
  • Produce detailed construction drawings with accurate and clearly labeled measurements, guides, and materials & finishes specs
  • Collaborate with project managers and production during the development of all concepts
  • Provide insight into the engineering process during concept development
  • Assist in the estimating process by value-engineering and planning for production by employing innovative building methods and making intuitive materials suggestions
  • Continually review and evaluate in-process work, and ensure adherence to drawing specifications by working with production and project managers.

Who are we looking for?

Our Architectural Designer is experienced in commercial design. They must be familiar with construction methods and possess the ability to produce accurate and attractive drawings in AutoCAD software program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Experience using 3D modeling software, with SketchUp preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in the drafting/engineering field
  • Ability to prepare detailed 2D plan, elevation, section and detail drafting in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of engineering and design standards as well as manufacturing processes is required
  • Previous detailing experience in architectural interior and tradeshow experience is strongly desired
  • Knowledge of a variety of construction and finish materials including metals, plastics, fabrics, glass, locks, woods and laminates
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects on an on-going basis

Compensation:

$50,000 - $60,000 Commensurate with Experience

This position is FULL TIME.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am - 5:00pm

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
