The Opportunity

Lead, develop, implement, and maintain various CAD/BIM programs, standards, procedures. Provide training and user support. This is an individual contributor role where you will manage the CAD standards and environment, but not other people.


Work Location: Hybrid (preferred cities Minneapolis, Dallas, Raleigh, or Phoenix) or Remote within the United States


Qualified candidate will:

  • Stay current with AEC industry and AutoCAD Civil 3D/BIM technology trends
  • Evaluate (and potentially implement) new AutoCAD Civil 3D/BIM-related software and technologies, including Reality Capture
  • Serve as lead on day-to-day AutoCAD Civil 3D support
  • Collaborate with AutoCAD Civil 3D users on software and process improvements
  • Document processes and develop training materials for AutoCAD Civil 3D applications
  • Lead AutoCAD Civil 3D training sessions for staff (including the onboarding of new staff) with respect to our AutoCAD Civil 3D standards and procedures
  • Establish quality control workflows for application of AutoCAD Civil 3D standards and procedures to project models and documents
  • Customize and roll out updated software configurations and new versions

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills, plus a positive and helpful demeanor
  • 10+ years of experience using Autodesk Civil industry products (AutoCAD Civil 3D)
  • Ability to convey technical information to a wide range of end-users
  • Ability to teach software best practices effectively
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Desire and ability to learn and understand new software or technology
  • Ability to understand and advise the impact a software may have on various workflows
  • Self-starter with the ability to lead

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience using Autodesk Civil products
  • 5+ years of experience as a CAD Manager for an AutoCAD Civil 3D-based, multi-office company
  • 4+ years of experience using Bentley Microstation or Bentley OpenRoads
  • Associate degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Prior experience with Projectwise and/or Autodesk BIM 360
  • Prior experience with ESRI applications
  • Prior experience with Lumion, Sketchup, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with Trimble Business Center

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment
  • Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
